Society Namesakes: Don and Dottie Thomas

Named for Dr. E Donnall Thomas and his wife, Dottie, the Thomas Legacy Society honors all those who share a commitment to transforming cancer treatment and care through innovative research.

Dr. Thomas, a founding scientist at Fred Hutch, won a Nobel Prize for developing bone marrow transplantation as a cure for certain blood cancers. His wife, Dottie, worked by his side.

Through a gift in their estate, they left a legacy of ongoing discovery and timeless generosity. Today, members continue that enduring legacy.
